12/30/97 - A player to watch next year is Gulf Coast CC's (GCCC) TE, Travis "Chuck" Ward. Chuck, who prepped at Pascagoula, MS and signed a letter-of-intent with Ole Miss coming out of high school but was redshirted and then transferred to GCCC, is 6-4, 225-lbs with 4.9 speed. He benches 300 pounds, cleans 300 pounds and has a 26 inch vertical leap. My source said he is majoring in Criminal Justice with a goal of employment with the DEA upon graduation. If any of you recruiters that check my page are looking for a good TE come next December (when he will graduate from GCCC), this guy might be the one.
