THE BOOK OF
NAHUM
Nahum, whose name means comforter foretells in this book the total destruction of Nineveh, the city of the Assyrians, who had carried the Northern Kingdom of the Jews into captivity. Nahum uttered his prophecy against the hated city shortly before the fall of Nineveh in 612 BC.
