Am looking for family members and/or information on any member of Co. E,18th MS Infantry, AKA "Mississippi College Rifles," "College Rifles." Some of the last names are Beauchamp, Baskin, Barrett, Crum, Comfort, Thigpen, Moffett, Terrell, Farrar, Farr, Granberry, Kennedy, Chambliss, etc. Of the known 142 members, all but one were living in Mississippi at the time of enlistment, a large number being students at Mississippi College and their relations. This unit served from First Manassas to Appomattox, and was part of Barksdale's/Humphrey's Brigade. Any information or contact willl be deeply appreciated, and any e-mails will be answered.
