I was five weeks old when I moved to Mississippi and started hunting and fishing rightI was born in the fall of 1980 in northern Alabama, but grew up in Columbus, Mississippi, which is located in the northeastern part of the state on the Tombigbee River. Columbus is an old riverboat town and home of Mississippi University for Women, Decoration Day (began here), National Fox Hunting Association (organized here), Columbus Air Force Base, and many beautiful ante-bellum homes.
Some of the Things I Used To Do
.....And People Started Coming From Everywhere One day Coach Billy Brewer mentioned my name at a press conference after an Ole Miss football game, and the next thing you know, here comes a sportswriter from
from Memphis. I didn't care about all the attention I was getting, and had rather have been in a boat somewhere doing a little fishing with the Boss. Well, you wouldn't believe what happened after the first article appeared about me in the Commercial Appeal. People came from everywhere, and everybody wanted to shake my paw and see me do my tricks and afterwards..... give me a pat on the head and maybe a bag of chips now and then. The Boss and I used to go duck hunting a lot, and I remember one winter when it snowed a lot. He made me sit in the snow while he took a picture of me holding a duck. My tail got so cold it almost froze to the ground.

Things We Can Learn From A Dog...It is surprising what we can learn from the things around us when we open our eyes and pay attention.
- Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
- Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
- When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
- When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
- Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
- Take naps and stretch before rising.
- Run, romp and play daily.
- Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.
- Be loyal.
- Never pretend to be something you're not.
- If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
- When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
- Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
- Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
- On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
- When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
- No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back and make friends.
- Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
