NOTE: This new Marilyn was shown at the 2006 Annual Head Vase Convention. Advance orders were taken at the convention. Please do not confuse this new Marilyn with the new fake Marilyn that has been showing up on Ebay.
Four new Marilyn Head Vases by Strafford Porcelain Merchants. Each 7 inches tall. Each will come in a full color licensed gift box and will be marked on the bottom. They have not been released yet and only advance orders were taken at the convention. However, I can vouch for the fact that they were very well made. We did get to pick them up and examine them at convention.
Production will be limited to 500 pieces each of the red, blue and black dress Marilyn's. Production will be limited to 100 pieces of the Gold Marilyn. Since the gold dress one is limited to 100, it is only available if you purchase all four. The other three ( blue, red and black dress ) ones may be ordered separately. Those attending the convention were able to purchase them at a special early order show price.
I am not sure when they will be released, but I have asked Terry Traw to let me know when they are ready for shipment. When I get the ifnormation I will be sure to post it here. In the meantime if you want to contact Terry about the availability of these heads contact him at ttraw@cland.net

Above are pictures I took during the in room sales. Jodie and Terry Traw are from Missouri and came to the convention to show these new Marilyn pieces. Notice in the left picture there were a couple of larger Marilyn's made in the back row. I am not sure if these larger sized Marilyn's will be produced. If I find out more, I will post the information here. I meant to sit down and have a lengthy interview with them, however my schedule was tight and time ran out.
Terry and Jodie Traw donated one of the new Marilyn pieces as a prize and Art Gorfain pictured on the right was the lucky winner. Since these were the pre production sample pieces, Art got a really nice prize.
